Coal Pendant Light, 2014.
Cylinder Light, 2014.
Designed and fabricated in collaboration with Jim Zivic Design.
The glass shade of the coal fixture is 21" in diameter. It was fused, slumped and silver leafed. The cube of coal acts as a counter-weight to the shade..
The glass cylinders were fused to trap bubbles, and then cut to accommodate leather straps. These pieces were included in the exhibition Jim Zivic, Collaborations. At Ralph Pucci International, Gallery Nine.
I was asked to fabricate the glass portion of this table by John Houshmand Design. The designers wanted to create a glass leg with an edge treatment that resembled ice. I kerf cut, ground, and sandblasted the glass to achieve the desired result.
